Just recently, our attention has rightly been turned towards the impact of the fashion industry on our planet a world of ‘Fast fashion’ speeding toward environmental disaster. Sustainable fashion is clothing that is created with eco-friendly fabrics and is created in the most eco-friendly ways possible.

In recent years consumers have become increasingly aware of the environmental impact of their shopping habits and are looking for alternative options.

THE BRIEF

 

You have been commissioned by a new environmentally conscious fashion retailer to create an engaging interactive multimedia product on fashion choices.

The final product should showcase a selection of fashion products and promote good environmental choices. The main focus of the multimedia product is to provide information, help and advise people to make conscious choices about what they would like to buy.

 
 

YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE:

It is key to think about the type of consumer you are targeting, there likes, dislikes, beliefs. You can customise your multimedia product to any target audience or age range, you may also have an option to select different age ranges (e.g. teens, 18-30, 30+). The age range of your intended target audience and their requirements should be included as part of your planning, this will help you guide to create your final product.

 

CREATIVE CHALLENGE:

You must consider the products you are selling and how can they be sustainably sourced. The biggest question is why should someone choose to buy from you, how are you going to make your product stand out above the rest? In a digital age, how will your final multimedia product stand out, be easy to navigate and attract the audience you desire?

 
 
 
 

FINAL PRODUCT

 

Your final multimedia product should be in the form of an interactive powerpoint or web page. When creating this you should take into account your planning stage and how your target audience would interact with you final solution.

This should include the following:

 
 

SHOULD INCLUDE:

  • Clothing range and accessories

  • Connected with and environmental issues linked to clothes production or distribution

 

DELIVERABLES:

  • A range of appropriate assets including video, audio and images

  • An interactive multimedia product with non-linear navigation

  • Executed in a suitable format that provides user-driven interactivity to meet the client brief.
